ENTRE Film Center is proud to host a special program by Alexis Bay reflecting on the life, work, and impact of AKIRA TORIYAMA, the genius mind behind DR.SLUMP, DRAGON BALL, DRAGON QUEST, and CHRONO TRIGGER.

Not only did Mr. Toriyama dedicate himself to creating the stories many of us grew up with on Toonami or Televisa, but he shepherded future artists. Mr. Toriyama inspired and influenced multiple generations of artists who have become the modern goliaths of manga, many of whom he mentored. Without his work, manga and anime would not be what they are today. We will be screening during a pre show that begins at 7 PM clips from Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball, the first series. Our main program will feature screenings of the last two films Mr. Toriyama worked on:

Dragon Ball Super: Broly (2018)

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (2022)

Doors open at 7pm. Films begin at 8pm.

ACCESSIBILITY

ENTRE Film Center is located at 415 W. Jackson Ave., Harlingen, TX. Our building is fully accessible to wheelchair users and other visitors who need to avoid stairs. Parking is located on the street and there is a sidewalk ramp located to the right of our building. Our micro-cinema contains modular seating that can be arranged to accommodate our visitors' needs. There is also an all-gender bathroom located in the back of the building.
