From the director of Fugazi's Instrument and Museum Hours comes a docufiction film that follows two young women from opposite ends of the socioeconomic spectrum who spend a great deal of their time exploring modern industrial landscapes, but for very different reasons. Successful Japanese businesswoman Tamiko (Miho Nikaido) was hired by a real estate corporation to study malls, amusement parks and resorts. Homeless teen Amanda Timms (Mira Billotte), who spends most of her time randomly filming and pondering her surroundings, wanders the same areas because she has nowhere else to go.
This screening is programmed by Michael Flanagan.
Doors at 7pm. Film at 8pm. Virtual Q&A with Jem Cohen will follow the film.
